Teaching visit of Prof. Kirill Marinov
Prof. Kirill Marinov was invited to serve as a Visiting Professor at the University of Veliko Tarnovo, one of the most important academic institutions in Bulgaria. During his stay, he delivered 30 hours of lectures on world history, including the history of Poland, Byzantium and the medieval Balkan states.
The university authorities' invitation is a sign of appreciation for Prof. Marinov's long-standing scientific and teaching cooperation with the University of Veliko Tarnovo. This includes numerous trips under the Erasmus+ programme and joint research projects. The hosts underline that this cooperation will continue, and they have already announced their intention to invite Prof. Marinov back in the coming years.
Participation in scientific conferences
During the visit of Prof. Marinov actively participated in two conferences organised by the university:
- international conerence: The Second Bulgarian Tsardom and Its Role in the Historical Development of Medieval South Eastern Europe: The Balkans and Lower Danube River Basin in 12th–15th century (24–26 October 2025, Veliko Tarnovo),
- Bulgarian conference Двадесета научна конференция „България, българите и Европа – мит, история, съвремие“ (4 November2025, Veliko Tarnovo).
